All images were taken with a Canon EOS 70D with a Canon EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM lens. These are both stacked images (DSS) of approximately twenty 1.5 second exposures.
Image 1: M22. This is an elliptical globular star cluster in the constellation Sagittarius. I've captured this one before in some wider shots, but wanted to focus in on it. It's the largest, brightest thing in this image.
Image 2: Eagle Nebula (M16) is the cluster in the left middle of this image. This is the home of the Pillars of Creation. Definitely something I'll be shooting again once I get a telescope.
