Ok, so if you look at lists of things in space you can photograph pretty easily with your DSLR the Dumbbell Nebula will be there. I took my first shot at it last night and I'm super happy with what I managed to capture. These images were taken with a Canon EOS 70D with a Canon EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM lens, and are stacks (DSS) of approximately twenty 1.5 second exposures.
